My Children Died Today
My children died today,
With their deaths came shock and awe,
How quickly things changed,
I went from the good guy, to the awful man,
Ha, that's life,
My children died today,
Do you know what I mean?
Everyone now knows everything,
They now know who I truly am, and hate me,
Isn't that life?
My children died today,
And wandered across the town,
Some of them didn't even exist,
Until somebody spread them around,
Should this be life?
My children died today,
Dirty looks from people I've loved,
Not knowing that when their children die,
They'll be just like me, the one who's truly known,
This shouldn't ever happen,
But that's life.
