Sodom (Part II Fixture of Our Fear)

"...each rock a word
_______a creek-washed stone
Granite: ingrained
_______with torment of fire and weight"[1]

Sodom: [sod om so dom sodo m
________s odom sodomsod o mso
________do msod om sod om]
am I in this place?

am I touching my self my-flesh
self-my buddha-flesh-self
indulgent gaping hungry mound
of something that feels, responding
to something & nothing-self?

sveccharchara thelema
sveccharchara thelema
sveccharchara thelema
sveccharchara thelema[2]

"Your kingdom come
Your will be done"[3]

Will it be done?
Blue Radiant Host,
Buddha & Mohamed
sit side by side, here,
drinking beer & planning
a destruction to destruction.

"Your will be done?"
Their will be done.
My will be done
with destruction
by peaceful resolution:
the sitting armchair
in the living room.

The living room
the living-breathing-room
the living-breathing-waiting for death patiently-room
The living-waiting “poison [ing] from the standing water”[4] without thinking
without thirsting
for death
for one solitary flicker-
room.

~

& I live in Sodom,
& I die in Sodom,
& I breathe in Sodom,
& I work for pennies in Sodom,
& I trace my circular Buddha in Sodom,
& I play my guitar in Sodom,
& we all go to movies casually in Sodom,
& we all listen to the bedlam in the walls in Sodom,
& we all realize truth in Sodom,

Sodom: the fixture of our fear,
as fixated as the Brooklyn Bridge,
as granite as our fiery ignorance
highlighting cultures: actual cultures
actual real men & women
who look as beautiful as Leonard Nimoy[5]
says they are but the rest of us do not.

Sodom [Sod OM],
Saddam [Sad Dam],
Who’s Sane in Sodom?

Saddam is hanging
_____In the base of my temporal lobe
_____& dancing to the sound of David Tibet[6].

Have you read this publicly yet? If so how did it go down? It demands to be heard. So here I am in my office, its early, no one is around, I'm reciting this piece of yours and look out the window (its open!!!!) to three people who are standing /listening...they liked it!

unfortunately, no, dannyboy I have only read it to my grandma and her reaction is rather biased...

These two parts were written in one creative flow on friday night this past weekend while listening to current 93. The third and last part, which I'll post tomorrow, was written on saturday night and has a melody for part of it.
