Goodbye

Goodbye, Hello. Hello Goodbye
To you i say these words each night
Nightmares in my sleep i see, I miss you now
Goodbye.

Tell me what is a goodbye, goodbye
is the start and end of a conversation, goodbye
is the last word before the fall of lost love
goodbye is something sweet and the last second, goodbye

Goodbye is nothing more or less
Goodbye is painful, hard, rough and deep
Understand goodbye is all these things, death
the ending of our exsistance, heartache
the loss of something good
a final statement. Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye

This should have been a very touching poem, something that strikes a chord somewhere in everyone. However, you have somehow managed to crucify a very good idea. I should imagine a dying Grandmother might shed a fickle tear if a Granddaughter presented it to her, but that's about it.

Are you writing about Goodbyes, or are you writing about greetings and salutations in general? The title suggests you forget the Hello stuff, it just saps the poem of what little energy it has.

Think about goodbyes in your life; think about the one's that really hurt, and capture that pain, the essence of that hurt, in words. If you haven't had any really painful goodbyes, then don't write this sort of poetry, because people who have will see through it in seconds.

Actually I wrote it for my mate Chrissy. He died two weeks ago today and has a huge sprk to him that it was too hard to say goodbye to him properly.

But thank you anyway.
Your the first person to actually look at my poetry. I was beginign to feel invisible.

Ill show you another poem I wrote about goodbyes.

Beside me you know longer lie there
I woke one moring to find everything gone but a small lock of your hair on the pillow
And the imprint you left there
Forever caressing the bed where you once lay

In my nights i dreamt you would never leave
I remember waking to see your face lying beside me, gentle and loving
But now your gone and
I pack all your things throw them away because i don't want them

Bye Bye teddy.
Bye Bye

I ahve writen many poems on personal experiances so some are a bit of a delicate topic.
