The rhyme scheme was lacking. Last lines of both stanzas especially; totally broke the form to me. But I'm still rooting for you.

Pretty ironic, given the context.

Keep telling yourself that, Olly, you handsome young feller...
But really, all this discord. Not good for the forums.
Pete, nice poem, but a bit rude, really.

Perhaps someone should suggest to the admin that they open a graffiti section - like a wall for the children to scribble on.

I thought it was funny. I think that was the only point of it.
I didn't know ieuan was leaving. I guess that's one more god freak weeded out.

Olly,
Same Guy called me 'adolescent', but I'm only 62. I think I would take objection to being called a 'grumpy old so and so though' as I feel I deserve a little more respect than that!
.....or maybe you only get respect for things about you that others agree with?

why rude? why an attack?
I thought the poem asked a simple question after stating the Poet's belief.
Surely poems should ask questions
and surely in this world where those of faith seem to seek to blow the fuck out of each other at the first pretence of protecting God's holy ego, asking about God's 'offense' at writing is actually really important.
keep asking Pete.

Pete:- I don't like the word just, are you only using it to pad line length? I always think twice about just and but.
