'Untitled'

Would they hear me if I screamed?
If I screamed loud enough to break all the surrounding glass,
to shatter eardrums,
to rattle minds trapped in standing bodies?
Would they keep walking, go home to their boring, half-lived 'lives'?
If I screamed and kicked my way out of this life,
would they lock me away behind bars and call me crazy?
If I closed my eyes, threw my head back and screamed
louder than humanly possible,
Would I be set free?
Would I gain access to an alternate 'super life'
where colors are vivid and alive,
where crazy means normal,
where I can truly live with others who used to be trapped, but
like me,
were set free?
If I screamed so hard it hurt,
hurt like heaven,
would I meet who I aspire to be?

I think I'm gonna scream...

I'd prefer if you had a title. It attracts more attention. This was a little cliche and threadbare on the imagery, but I liked the question...
