Rest In Peace
Pieces of paper are spread like the ocean
sprawled across the table with an optimistic notion
filling all spaces with comfort and grace
searching for a height, weight, age, and race
Sipping black coffee with overwhelming steam
eating a donut filled with blackberry cream
slippers on the table with a dominating tone
the existence of your solitude is nothing more but a stone
Stone...ha...you laugh as the scissors do your chore
you have never given up hope for what you are looking for
you know you will find it, it’s the only thing that makes sense
your neck gets limp and your shoulders get tense
Spilling your coffee all over the table
you realize that you are no longer able
to look for your treasure within this heavenly mess
filling your veins with nothing but stress
Grabbing your hair tightly with both of your fists
pulling so hard and giving it some twists
blood runs from your forehead and down to your chin
laughing so hard with an evil grin
Finding more papers and shredding them on the floor
running hysterically to the ones by the door
picking them up with very little poise
but dropping everything when you hear a deep noise
It’s coming up from under the ground
you have never heard such and eerie sound
dropping to your knees once you realize the bell
is a deep sound penetrating from hell
“You think one thing but it is quite another
the torture you put on your father and mother
It is not your body that you will find
your soul is alive, but the deceased is your mind”
The deep sound slowly has ended
but kept your mind totally bended
all you could think about was your little brother who died
in a car accident, and for your own protection, you lied
Two empty bottles of vodka were near
as you suddenly hit what you thought was a deer
as you got out of the car and saw what you’ve done
your first thought was to reach for the gun
You put the gun to your head and ended it there
and woke up the next morning in an uncomfortable chair
You were in a white jacket with your arms tied behind you
white padded walls were the punishment that was due
You tried to end your life thinking that would solve The Pain
but a heavy gust of wind came followed by massive rain
You were knocked to the ground, one eye stayed true
to see that the gust of wind carried your brothers corpse to save you
You were looking through the paper to find a sense of peace
hoping your body was there along with the deceased
your brother was forgiving and he was your guide
but you got scared and committed mental suicide
