Is the Casket Empty?

First post in a while. Enjoy.

Is the Casket Empty?

At that guy's funeral, the casket's closed
Has anyone seen him? Is he in there?
Maybe he's so mutilated they
Don't want to raise a scare

Is the casket empty?

Their hearts devoid of sorrow, they stand
Awaiting the moment to plunge into black
The casket moving to the Golden Country
Where he can't come back

-But, how can it be?

Is he not dead, away from here?
They found his body, doubtless
What are they shielding from our view?
Just some bloody mess?

Why can't we see?

Relinquish the secret, casket!
We've a right to know!
We want to see him before
Into the ground he goes!

Let the body free!

Casket keeper, you've nothing to fear
We won't be angry or sad at you
If the body's in there, all the better
We won't stick to him like glue

Just, is the casket empty?

~END

Nice, I liked this. Reminds me of Edgar Allan Poe.
