"an abandoned phoenix" (on-the-spot type piece)

My first time trying out iambic pentameter..dunno if I was successful or not. Thoughts? Tips? thanks :]

---

I dreamt again last night about you there
With your two arms and your two eyes
Your auburn beard and your blond locks of hair
The dreams of these will bring me my demise.

Nevertheless I still wish to caress
Your pale pink lips and hear your cries
The thought of sacrificing you to her
Is killing me, bringing me my demise.

Yet off you go, your dust staining my tears
They sizzle as they dot my skin
The hands and arms and legs that you once had
Are faded now; you let the end begin.

My eyes are dried, I've given all my sobs -
The soft, the loud, the bleak, the cold
Yet you so carelessly toss them aside,
Leave them to atrophy; they have grown old.

When you have reached the end of your journey,
I fear that you will not look back.
Although the only thing there'll be to view
Will be the sunken shell of what you lack.

Though bones and organs will have all shriveled,
Two eyes will faithfully remain.
Their will to watch will not be swayed by you,
Unless you are to come and tend again.

And now the cage is closed, so here I rest
In hopes my waiting's not in vain
I'll wait for your return and know you know
Of my ability to rise again.
