Birdwatching with the Japanese, haikus on

Hula Valley sprawls
From Lebanon to Syria
Twixt rock and hard place

Nubian nightjar,
Mocking bird cloud ancient land
Europe’s birds relax

Storks and cranes wade
Swamp hollers with Euro sound
Grand Wetlands hotel

Bosho’s countrymen
Came all the way to Hula swamps
Crane watching shinto

J.R. MacLean is on a distinguished road
An impressive amount of information in those 4 Haiku. Really gives a feeling for the entire scene. Got pictures from the trip? cheers.

I didn't take any pics, didn't have my cam with me. Though they would have looked strange, or not at all. We are driving from one of our usual long weekends up north by the Mt. Hermon or Nimrod's Castle when I see crowds of Japanese watching a lake. That was out of this world. Just like they would back in Japan. The area is flat, not identifiably Middle East.

I'm sure you can join the Japanese tours. One thing I notice about Japanese tourists is that their guides appear to be comedians, because the toruists are laughing a lot.
