Faux Pas

Faux Pas

He had blonde hair,
lightly streaked with tears
of chocolate
crumbling in white milk;
fair skinned, pear plucked
Fruit of man.

Eyes shining a transparent blue;
a milky way in lieu of
mirrored enamel;
simple white sugarcubes
illumining the view.

Then the handsome pupils dilated
Tried a pike, to see
what feminine figure
vibrated that eye,
and perhaps it was the light, but
He was looking right at me.

He smiled.
I smiled.
He began to blush,
and in mid-stroll,
I began to hush my heart
so cruelly pounding,
a painful beating,
as it took its toll on my fragile insides
So much so,
my breath quickened
into short gasps of fear, excitement,
an emotional paradox that,
despite the lumps arising in my throat,
the rocks and bowling balls
weighing down my coat,
I’d hankered for so long—

Slap!
Went my bod against
an unsuspecting wall
And while a mess of flesh flushed pink
Began to sink as I fell,
I glanced back—

He was gone.

wow, thats really pretty...I don't know what others might think but I really, very much love it! the wording makes it sort of flow and you can feel the rush of it, and even though you're all inside of the mind by the end you step out and you understand what is going on around. Very pretty.
Alice.

Thank you. I'm glad you could feel its 'rush,' as I intended it that way, so it's great to get your feedback.
