Books
The wisdom of the ages
bound in leather,
pressboard and paper,
neatly stacked on dusty shelves.
History, mathematics and science,
fiction, fashion or facts.
Whatever the mind can create,
preserved on paper for posterity.
Life, stored between two covers.
They have raised eyebrows,
inflamed tempers, incited riots,
and educated young and old.
Where man has sought
eternal youth
and eternal life,
books have succeeded.

I am starting to become a fan of your poetry already. I like this. Especially how books have achieved what man has not.

two covers," - period
incited riots" - comma
hello hello. very nice, but it serves as more of a thought piece rather than anything emotional or entertaining. i have to go with jade on this one. it's funny how man's creation has achieved what man has not. have to love it.
*hugs*
