lone desert rider

lone desert rider
treads rocky trail hoping for
life beyond mountains

and... because i just can't resist...

lone desert writer
treads rocky trail hoping for
life beyond mountains

it was just too perfect to pass up.

So, you're a fan of the desert too, eh?

mjk: nice, so wistful and well, hopeful. Is is it 'trods' or 'treads'. Or would both be correct in this case? I truly don't know. cheers noble balusters

Nice imagery & I like Haiku. And it should be 'treads'

A couple from me...

Sliding grains of sand
Whispering to dust devils
Desert in motion

Shimmering heat haze
Metal-blue sky, roasting sun
White bone on a dune

Panting lizards pause
In shade of swordgrass truckstop
Flicker-move and gone

psycho- more than a fan. we have a long standing love affair. thanks for coming to read!

j.r.- you are most certainly right. trods would be the past tense i believe. if you read my own from today, you'll wonder where the hell the hope went. thank you for checking in on this one. wretched love fools

pen- how is it possible for me to love everything you write? you're just so damn good! thanks for sharing that one with me. i love the words you use.

journeyman- thanks for coming by. you are correct, it should be treads. all fixed up now. also, what beautiful depictions of the desert you've shared. thank you so much for posting them. they're perfect and remind me of the desert here. it's hard to pick a favorite, but i really love the lizard one.
