"Gods Theatre"
TAKE HEED - THIS IS NOT MY WORK, BUT THAT OF MY DECEASED GREAT GRANDFATHER.
I take liberty to post it only because I'm proud of it and I like it. He was not a religious man and spent the majorty of his life as a ranch hand in Wyoming. His love of nature is more than apparent.
God's Theatre-
Did you ever pause in the morning,
as the sun climbs o'er the hills,
And watch the first rays of dawning
Turn a brooklet to silver rills?
Did you ever watch the dew-drops
Sparkle and glisten like jewels?
If you haven't, your missing the pictures
that God keeps painting for you.
Do you ever look up in the heaven's
and list' to the song of the lark?
or enjoy the black-birds jubille
as he serenades from the marsh?
Do you ever hear the turtle dove
Croon to his mate in the glen
If you haven't, your missing the broadcast
from H e a v e n.
Do you hear the soft little whispers,
That murmer from out the trees,
That soft and soothing lullaby,
Played on the leaves by the breeze?
Do you ever watch the honey bees
Go calling on the flowers
Or see the newness of everything
After a summer shower?
Pause for a moment from worry and toil,
There's a show going on that sublime
The stage always set, no curtains at all
Let's take in the show while there's time.
