Unrequited Love
Bleeding my heart, my love is unrequited
Your touch is like to ice and I an unquenchable fire
Extinguished by the blanket of hardened water you’ve invited
Strewn before us because you’re lacking of desire
Farther away you stray
Wishing not another betray
Soon this hardened frozen hell will turn to wat’ry lakes
Wading through the icy waters I shall come not to forsake
Turning into a red rivulet, foaming, frothing - feverishly
Wait for me by the shore I call to you
My answer echoes in the distance Drifting too
Still you travel, leaving this mystery to be unraveled
Always following the roughest terrain
Fearing the undying pain
Blinded from which I wish to give
Fearing love would be too much to live
How come it that you gaze onto the stars
For my love feels locked behind bars
Thee who does not wish to see the beauty deep within me
Shall not pass through the golden arches to spend eternity
