I wrote someone a poem.

I wrote someone a poem
a really lousy poem
And I asked her if she liked it
and she told me that she did
So I asked her if she'd ever inspired
a man to write a poem before

"Well, yeah," she replied with a smile.
"That's what happens when you date musicians."

good poem

hmm...perhaps why i don't date poets/musicians.

I, too, like the rhythm of the piece, flows right off the tongue

Yeah, this is a very nice, little poem. Made me smile at the end. Nice work on this piece.

I enjoyed this a great deal. For whatever reason, it had a decidedly 60's flavor to me.

Oh, by the way... am I trippin', or should there be a 'd' on 'like' in the third line?

Excellent work, john. Thanks for sharing.
