Vodka City

Vodka City (Picture Removed by author)

You can almost taste her,
she is smooth going down
Like a chaste kiss in the wind
you smile at what you have found
You want to protect her,
but it's the other way around
If you listen very closely
you hear her voice above the sound.

In Vodka City...
Life is way too fast
In Vodka City...
Love is made to Last
In Vodka City

The steets are cold,
like the Russian blood in her vein.
The sheets are old,
but you will never complain
She brings a smile to your face,
when you think you are going insane
When you see her smile,
it takes away all of your pain.

In Vodka City...
Life is way too fast
In Vodka City...
Love is made to Last
In Vodka City

Okay...add to it, play with it.

Poem

Sorry Freebird---that's just asking for more talent and guts at this hour than I have. Or any hour for that matter. I'll just wait for Gigi, Penelope, Dannyboy or hmph---Ms. Vodka and enjoy adding vicariously thru them.

Though I will say that this should be put to lyrics and made a song for a James Bond movie. It has a light, racy sense to it with a nice underlayer of grit. It was an appropriate read for me at this hour.

Wyndstar, Thanks...I just wanted to see if I could even still dabble in poetry. I did want to be racy and light. THANKS AGAIN! freebird

I can almost hear the balalaika and Moscow chorus. This is very much like lyrics and it works but would be better if I liked vodka.

I'll be in St. Petersburg in September for three days. I'm taking a bottle of Scotch. Preferably Laphroig

Never touched Vodka, may have to make a special trip out to the liquor store after reading this. Hmm, will let you know if it tastes as good as this poem sits in your head.

Nae ;0)

PS I guess you still got it!

Freebird-

Vodka is my leading choice among liquors. Grey Goose on the rocks with a shot of cranberry and then leave me alone. I'd be content to never drink another type of liquor, but onto the poem. Smooth flow, I would change the last stanza though, but it does work.

PLAY FREEBIRD!!!

Shall I assume this is about me? That's extremely flattering.

I also think this would make a nice song.

Who wants to write the music?

Love ya'll thanks for making me welcome.

Vodka the song is all yours. We will have to do Red Square! Haven't played a guitar since High School, I will have to drag out the "Lucille" my black guitar. I will play Freebird, pretty for Atlanta or will that be Portland?

My favorite Vodka---Effen. Effen is Dutch for even, smooth, balanced. http://www.effenvodka.com/

Pictures of NAE? Probably Sexy.

Gigi: Erotic City, never heard it. Now "When the Doves Cry" and "Little Red Corvette" are good.

Miss you! freebird
