The End

Leeched life lingering
denying death, dragging
existence endlessly
onwards, opening
dead dreams, failed fantasies

Don't feel like that--ha, you say, like words can stop it.

Remember we're all rooting for you.

Here's a purely analytical reaction:

I adore alliteration! I especially liked "lingering" and "dragging." I could just feel the syllables slopping off of my tongue.

I was a tad curious about the title, since the whole poem seems to be about not ending and sluggishly continuing.

In all, this poem felt like a sour candy: Not all that big, but exploding with powerful flavor after the very first taste.

I think it is rightfully concise and imagistic. This could be one of your unique styles.

petrel, I know you're rooting for me. thank you.

theubermanlyman, this poem is about not being able to end, about never being able to just give it all in.

teflon: thank you.
