WritingForums

WritingForums is an addiction
I keep coming back
To read more fiction

Who knows how long this will continue
Lord knows I need
Something swell to do

Instead I read and read, then read some more
I read until
My eyes are sore

I should go out and meet some people
Maybe then I could live
A life that's full

Until that day should come about
I'll sit right here
Day in and day out

From what I've discovered, the longer one stays here, the more real the people become. It's my extended community and it's by choice. I have relationships here that are just as meaningful as my other human interactions.

Aye, I'm slightly miffed that you don't consider us 'something swell to do'.

There is a point where addiction curbs meaningful involvement though, I'll give you that. It's a point I frequently reach.

hahahahaha! Look at this! Two top posters wax poetic about the endearing qualities of being glued to our respective computers.

Here's a third, another forum junkie! You are like a poet comedian who uses his crazy surroundings to write about.

Thanks,
Nae

Well you should be there within the next 100 years or so. You better bring your pillow and settle in for the long haul if that is your goal!

I have a general addiction to the internet rather than just Writing Forums, but I like it here, I've already made one very lovely aquaintance and I have a feeling I could get on with more people here if I made myself known a little more. I feel my inability to critique puts me at a disadvantage as I rarely get comments on my own work, but hopefully, if I can help some more people out, they'll return the favour.
