Things are not always what they seem to be
How was I to know when we first met that you would be the one for me!
There was such an aurora in the sky that night
That I knew then that you would be the one to be my wife!
That beautiful smile and the gentleness of your lips
When we embraced and shared our very first kiss!
The smell of the ocean water as it sprayed us with its mist
As I held you in my arms and felt that heavenly bliss!
I knew then the Lord had blessed me with the best gift of all
A beautiful young lady who would soon become the love of my life!
Through the times of heartache and pain,
we have so endured,
one thing remains the same,
Our love for each other has done nothing but gain!
That moment when our first child arrived
Brought such a twinkle and wet tears to my eyes!
Again I was blessed with such a wonderful wife
One who I will love for the rest of my life!
To see you holding her in your arms
Filled my heart with such wonderful charms!
Her very first cry,
And the love and warmth you provided inside,
For she was born with her mothers eyes!
For as you see I was blessed with another wonderful site
To share with my wife for the rest of my life!
May the next years be as good as the last years
Even though they have been difficult at times in which we feared!
But then again love always prevails
For it is that bond that we so wonderfully share!
