this is me

who is this person i see when i look into the mirror?
Its not me, really its not.
the real me knows what i want, not what to settle for
i speak my mind, yet i sit silent
beautiful and loving, not ugly and violent
but when i look at my reflection all i see is empty and melancholy eyes
because my whole existence is nothing but a facade
built upon lie after lie
maybe one day i will see the real me and not this phony face people call
Haley.

Ouch. I think you could have done more poetically with this sentiment; numerous poems have used the mirror metaphor in myriad ways. This was good regardless, by which I mean it was moving whilst avoiding the pitfalls which prentious or 'bad' poetry falls into a lot here on the forum. A good work, made so in part by the limitless universality of the sentiment. I assure you, you are far from alone feeling thus.

Sad poem but caught me up in what you are feeling. Pawn is right you are never alone Seek and you shall find.
You could use some Capitals in this poem also. Otherwise good poem.

I can relate, I guess we all feel like this sometimes. Good work. I liked your wording.
