Manly Drinking Song [Explicit Lyrics]

Fuck Fuck
Fight Fight
Fuck Fuck
Fight Fight
Fuck Fuck
Fight Fight
We can fuck, we can fight, we can shite where we like.
Cos we’re men men men; yes we’re men men men.
No we don’t give a shite, about your fucking women’s rights.
Cos we’re men men men; yes we’re men men men.
We will sail the seven seas, do whatever the fuck we please.
Cos we’re men men men; yes we’re men men men.
We will fuck, we will drink, no we’ll never fucking think.
Cos we’re men men men; yes we’re men . . . men . . . . men.

From an opera I'm writing (not composing).

A little anti-men I would say.
I drink but I can still think seems a bit of a sea shanty thing going on here?
Definite pirate overtones to this not very original but amusing in a bawdy way.
Reminded me of men in tights the robin hood spoof by mel brooks.

Somebody challeneged me to write it so it really came off the top of my head with one or two corrections. Somebody composed the music to it as well, and incidentally I won a prestigous award too.

You know - I was avoiding reading this for ages. I'm sorry I did - it's hilarious! Very much a spoof type - three penny opera warbler. Love it.
You might want to explain why it won an award. I would hazard a guess it was for the reasons Gordon mentioned.

I'm writing a sexually explicit and incredibly violent pirate opera and this is the first song. The award I won was the "Masculinist of the Week Award" awarded by somebody I know to anybody that performs acts of great manliness. Masculinism was a great movement but it died out and became piratey instead - so now there is a "Pirate of the Week Award".

By the way, the opera is called: "In Search of Pleasure Island: The Manly Travails of the Masculinists". All the characters in it are based on people I know and I'm having somebody help me compose the music. It's a bit racy but people who know me know that I write that sort of thing and surprisingly they enjoy it.

As you can see by the comments of Gordon and I - it's not taken seriously and casts male pirates as buffoons. I wouldn't pay to see the show but laughed at this.
