Reaper of Memories
Forget me,
Forget me not!
Oh Reaper spare me!
Take away my soul,
But not my memory.
May the grief be eternal,
Fresh on the their minds.
Oh Reaper leave my family,
With memories of me.
Yes, take away my soul,
But not my memory.
(I'm thinking of basing a short story on this, a man will be pleading with the Reaper of memories to not let him be forgoten)

here yet forgotten could be a scarey plot.
If you happen across a copy of the original Christmas Carol starring Alister Sims ( not certain of the spelling of the actors name) pay attention to the visit for the ghost of christmas yet to come. In this scene Scrooges' greatest fear is that he be forgotten for all time. His reaction in this scene may help lead you down the path to help develop your character. Of all of mans fears the worst could possibly be the fear of losing ones memory as in the case of alzheimers victims, or possibly of being forgotten. If you lose your memory you also lose your chance of being remembered. Stoneangel444 .

Now that is deep my friend. Being forgotten because you don't remember. I think that might apply to a few people who don't suffer from Alzheimers. I know I've forgotten about a few who's memory kept failing them.
aka self absorbed.
About your poem Farror - I've liked some of your other ones much better. I think this could have been much more haunting.

Hmmm, maybe I will re-work this poem a bit. I can think of a few lines that will be slightly darker already.
"May Grief shade their hearts, eternally
Steal away my soul,
But not my memory."

Yes .. I liked that. I also found the breaks to be distracting too. What do you think about fewer of them?

You have a good start there Farror...interesting subject for one so young. I've been working on a poem about that subject for some time, but I keep reworking it (started it two years ago) in memory of a friend of mine, but I'm not satisfied with it yet.
Too close for comfort maybe?
Anyhow, I'd love to see it expanded...keep working on it!

People always seem to make comments about my age. I guess I sort of brought it on myself when I first arrived here, always talking about it.

One of the things I never do is focus on someone's age. Everyone develops maturity along different time lines. Their writing reveals more about them than they could possibly imagine. If you want me to go on about your age, too bad.
