My Meaning; My Silence

The speech fails more often than not.
My passions burn in a silence
That few can understand.
Most unaware of a smoldering strife
This is the Writer’s Life

Tortured in sleep
Angst-ridden by light
Meaning sought and
A chasm to be filled
One word at a time.

The strangled path of truth
Rips at my faith
And tears at my being
Meanings unclear
Roads blocked
Uncertain again.

This is the Writer’s Life
This is My Life.
