A Beastie Song
Ickle beasties
scour my world
their hatred fills my soul.
Accepting hatred
feels so good
through me happiness flows.
Take their gifts
lustful gratitude
a deadly beastie attitude.
Find the peace
hold it tight
fly with beasties now so crude.
Bounce and pounce
pour forth onto me
rip with them; step into their groove.
Run and swim
fly now again
tear a new whole; step out to move.
Little beasties
rule my world
their love fills my head.
Accepting love
feel so sick
might as well be dead.
Beaties, beasties
bounce and pounce
pour forth onto me
ounce by ounce.
Beasties, beasties
all sing along
fly with them
a beastie song.

A nice addition to beastie lore. I like how you use the words love and hate , you make them synonyms rather then antonyms. Very interesting, clever and well done. The beastie king smiles and says this is good. Nice job steve.
warmest regards,
bob

A good song, indeed. I'm glad you've decided to write a beastie poem *grin*. I could hear the song in this one, it was faintly creepy, a very good effect, and well done. The imagery was also very good, along with the paralells.

Thank-you... it was fun writing it too! *smiles* You know, Beasties poems are really different than most poems. They should have a National BeastieThon every year or maybe a whole website dedicated to Beasties with Kitten's "Creatures" Poem on the front page.
