My Beloved Grand Parents... (A Card)

Here is a card that I wrote for my Grandparents on Grandparents day.

(Front)
My Beloved Grandparents...

(Inside)

Today is your day,
I hope it is special, in each and everyway.

My beloved Grandparents,
here's a little song,
it is for all grandparents though 'tis not too long.

Grandparents, grandparents,
all about the world.

Grandparents, grandparents,
of little boys and girls.

You have always been there,
you have made us laugh and smile.

Every time we needed help,
you listened all the while.

Both of you have showed us love in many different ways,
both of you have been there through wants and needs and days.

So, there it is my Grandparents,
there's your little song.

I know it isn't much,
but the love it shows lasts long.

Yeah, I had nothing else to give my grandparents so I said, "hey I am a writer... I will make them a card." *smiles* Glad you think so!

Yes, really sweet, from the heart.
It's nice to give something you have created yourself. I always draw pastels and give them away as gifts. Never poetry though, I don't write poems in my mother tongue, my grandma wouldn't understand English. She turns 90 in a month - - maybe I should try to whip up a poem for her...hmmm. Thanks for the idea!

As usual I enjoyed your work. It was very heart felt and sweet. Congradulations on the good work and I'm sure that your grandparents will enjoy it.

Enjoyed that very much. It made me miss my grandparents, all who passed when I was at a very early age. Only one grandparent can I remember to any worth.
