Where did it go?
LOSS.
Where did we lose it?
Compassion
Guilt
Caring
Suffering
Hope
Faith
Belief
It’s gone and we didn’t even notice as it closed the door.
Ashamed to hang around

Maybe we were all talking too loud! That happens sometimes. We all lose too many things.

Ah. I asked that because it reminded me somewhat of the questions people are asking themselves over here in America. Kinda like..."what went wrong?"

The last word rubs me the wrong way... the end rhyme kinda takes away something. I would have left out the last word

Don't worry about it, G. They are all poet-wannabees too chickens**t to post any of their own stuff. Their LOSS and our gain, I'd say...

I'd quite agree, but generally, I dig the poem. Reading it, I could imagine a bass player strumming rythmically behind the poet.
