Haunted House?

Haunted House?
I sit here and ponder
When the night brings its wonder
Of shadows that play
In hues of grey
What was that flicker
As light starts to dicker.
In and out.
Was that a shout?
Without illumination.
It’s all dark and damnation
Creatures that lurk
I’m a jerk.
To believe this ridiculous situation
Of doom and damnation
Vampire’s ghoul’s ghosts and goblins?
And me sat quiet hoping for something.
Well what can I say it never happened?
Haunted house same old pattern.
Nothing appeared nothing materialized.
Just sat there all night then went home and sighed.
With a feeling of doubt
Nothing about.
Ghosts O no so what’s all the fuss
Just an old house full of shadows and dust.

Well that was a fun read. I particularly enjoyed the bit near the end
"Ghosts O no so what’s all the fuss
Just an old house full of shadows and dust"
Heh, that was pretty damn funny. It was true because why would all those monsters want to protect a crappy old house from intruders anyways? The one part that I found did not fit in with the poem, was
"Creatures that lurk
I’m a jerk.
It did not fit the rest of the poem at all and it made no sense. (the "I am a jerk" part)
