"Crave"

In the depths and darkness lies a demonic craving
Yearning and burning for an outlet to let it free
Calling out for liberation by its sadistic creator
And the poor mortal struggles and toils with hope
That it can be suppressed, for the sake of life alone
Wrenching at the gut is the beast of humanity
A wretched disease, never to be cured by man only
And yet it is tried incessantly to stifle the waves
In the ocean of the mind where the inspiration grows
To do what is done and done without remorse for
The victim of a lonesome cause, which yields none
None of its answers that are continually asked
Analyze and assess, for it will never be found, why

rcallaci is an unknown quantity at this point
You have an interesting mind. I like the conflict ,the struggle, the stream of consciousness feel to this piece. The beast howls to be released, it hungers and craves for the food that is our soul. This poem speaks to me.

Warmest Regards,
Bob
