Thread: strange bird

A bird landed,
on the busy thoroughfare.
Strange bird. Not supposed to be there.
Prehistoric, thought to be extinct.

Such plummage, and wonderous beauty.

Now, it's a problem.
Traffic delays, crowds.
Police and bureaucrats,
politicians agree.

A bird landed,
in a museum,
after years of clinical study.
Stuffed and preserved.
No longer a nuisance,
or danger to public safety.

I liked this piece and its message, wouldn't change anything about it.
