I was originally going to enter this in the Christmas/New Year challenge, but then decided I was too much of an amateur, haha. But please, please, please offer any critique you have! I'm looking to improve my poetry skills.
Tick-tock, tick-tock,
Time grows short
for the girl, the girl,
who was cast from the flock,
A stopwatch swings,
as songs break free
from the prison of the girl,
songs of heinous things,
The clock hands travel
the girl is ever still
waiting to see
what time will unravel
And when she has gone,
maybe then they will care
about how she suffered
when time still ticked on
'Till then she lives in pain
lives in agony, in depression
and walks the streets
of loneliness through the rain
And tick-tock, tick-tock
time grows short
for the girl, the girl
who was cast from the flock.
