This is one of my favourite poems.

This is one of my favourite poems, I heard two if the lines and thought they were awesome and wrote the rest round those two lines..

    Don’t forget how to Dance

The sky looks grey, clouds crowd around
It has rained on your party again.
    Nothing goes right, everything fails
    Life’s such a terrible strain.
This is not worth it so why go on
Why bang your head on the wall?
Bury yourself, shun all the world
To try is to head for a fall.

    Don’t forget how to dance,
    Feel the music again.
Life is not waiting for the storms to pass
It’s learning to dance in the rain.

Too much to do, much to achieve
They are asking too much of just me.
I can’t go on, I cannot do that
I’ll fail, why can’t they see?
I am not that good, I’m not that bright
When will I ever be free?
The effort’s too much, I’ll fall short
It’s certain, not just what might be.

    Don’t forget how to dance,
    Feel the music again.
Life is not waiting for the storms to pass
It’s learning to dance in the rain.

I don’t look good, my shape’s all wrong
I’ll can never be part of that crowd.
I’ll never fit in, always outside
My part to be always alone.
Life in the shadows, alone, apart
Never to run in the sun.
Monochrome life, of grey and gloom
A lifestyle that’s only for one.

    Don’t forget how to dance,
    Feel the music again.
Life is not waiting for the storms to pass
It’s learning to dance in the rain.

    I’m so weary, tired, alone;
With a heart so heavy, like stone.
Can my feet find rhythm again?
How can I sing whilst I moan?
    If my feet could dance then my heart might sing;
The sun could rip through the cloud.
The gray lit with colours that zing
And I will then dance with the crowd.

    Don’t forget how to dance,
    Feel the music again.
Life is not waiting for the storms to pass
It’s learning to dance in the rain.

I thought this was a very--very clever and well thought out poem. A lot of what you wrote--I can strongly identify with absolutely. "I don't look good , my shape's all wrong"--that entire stanza was brilliant! Thank you for the pleasure of reading this Poem--Well done! Peace--Jul

Thank you very much. I want to do English Language and Literature at COllege and then at Uni, if I am good enough.

You're good enough, Dean! That poem was really well crafted, and, once again, far more mature than your years.

Each time you write a poem you leave a little of your heart in the words.
The lines are linked by your loves and fears as you give the verses birth.
Sometimes with love, sometimes with tears, and maybe even mirth.
But always it's torn from your heart and soul, into a waiting world
