One need not
believe a fairy tale
to be enriched
by its moral
just as one
need not believe
in the dictum of his servitude
to find value in service
or be loved
when love is left
as parting evidence
of living

Love it, glass pencil. No nits, just enjoyed.
At first glance-this is a deceptively simple Poem-at first glance. but the carefully crafted -well chosen words really pack a punch! I totally get the message--I have heard it before--but not with such Artistry--brilliant delivery! Also-you kept it short and clean-bare bones-so that the original message did not get lost in clutter, Thanks-Jul
Wow thanks for the positive feedback guys. the first two stanzas had been kicking around in my head for about a week but the third just sort of came out as I wrote it. I like to keep construction as simple as possible while conveying a complex message, to me that's one of the greatest challenges in literature.
