Mystics kicked up dust,
dervishes lost to forgetfulness,
finding bliss all 'round the dizziness
vertigo haloing their mirage.
I wait for mania's unexpected kiss
to press unspoken words on my lips,
lap a lovers morphine drip and honor it in song.
Long never becomes enough,
heaven dissolves abruptly
leaving residue of explanations
and vague questions unresolved.
The caravan finishes praying,
dervishes mount their donkeys
and the world is confused for an acrylic oasis,
but goes unpainted because wanderers
cannot name its nameless places.
