Without God, all is night, and with him light is useless. - Emil Cioran
Nick, outstanding imagery and I'll quote some of my favorites but for now I will say that you've taken full advantage of your countryside (and just outside your window! Lucky chap).You've soaked it up and presented me with a gift. I love the countryside but have only seen it in passing. Where I live I am surrounded by woods - my favorite gift of nature. But you have detailed an expanse and so brilliantly.
Wonderful and perfect use of "Anthropormorphism." The attribution of human motivation, characteristics, behavior to inanimate objects or animals.Bells chuckle in the horizon;
butterflies sneeze and worms giggle.
Beautiful. Just WOW! I will be listening to more that the rustling of leaves in my woods!Ah, the silence you cannot understand,
while the foxes discover love
and the rabbits muse life;
spiders mourn and flies gossip.
Listen. Hear. Know the sound;
And isn't it true. Marvelous ending.For
speech breaks the nature
of this silent, thriving world.

Hey Silvermoon,
Thank you very much! I often yearn to be in a city, but when you have one of those very perfect, warm days with a nice breeze you can really appreciate spreading out on a huge field, overlooking a magnificent view. Little can compare.
I'm glad you enjoyed the poem.
