    The Wine God's Madness

    Women dance in Devotion
    And in Love
    Through their Ecstasy
    They become His
    They shout!
    And sing!
    And dance!
    Possessed by the God
    Of Wine!

    Rites throughout the night,
    Madness overcomes.
    Fighting away the repression;
    They have felt for so long.
    As the find themselves possessed
    By the Wine God's Madness.

    Ivy filled forests,
    Women, Men, Slaves
    and Children,
    Maniacally dance
    with Bulls and Serpents.
    They join
    The Wine Drinking
    They sing to Me;
    the God of Wine!

    ahh..brings me back to the era of debauchery to the greek and roman times. When the real parties were happenin'; wine, women, and song. The times of throwing live people to big cats for entertainment, mass orgies for the after party. Thank the spirits for all the advances in medicine since then. For all the wine women and song in the world can't cure a case of chlamydia r gonorrhea..(I know bad joke..hehe)
    Good flow with this one keep it up...some people forget that good verses don't have to rhyme, most of the time it doesn't even have to have a point but just flow. You got it right with this one. Any more?

    Oh yes, a lot more. I love writing about Dionysus and things related to him, as he's a very interesting god. <3 One of my personal favourites.
    I'm very much a free/blank verse poet than a rhyming poet. Rhyming feels very limited whereas free verse is more expressive for me.

    Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad it brought you back to such an era. <3
