On My Lack of An Inner Child or... A Lament To Never Growing Up

    Lets sing a song
    for those supposed gone
    all children gaunt and ebbing
like waves before a baleful satellite

    or so they've said
    I've heard as much
    while mine cleaves close
    as ever it did

    so is it true
    that women lose
    the child inside
    to grow another?

    and men become
    only larger?

I really enjoyed reading this. It is a lovely poem.

These lines especially were my favourite:

I know I am still a spring chicken, but I have always tried to hold onto my inner child. I have been through experiences in my life that have caused me to grow up at a rapid rate, missing a lot of my childhood, and it is for that reason that I still try to be a lolly-pop and pig tails kind of girl. I still get all bouncy and excited over little things This may be seen as a little insane, but I want to hold onto my inner child for as long as possible.

For me it was just noting that I still feel like I have an outer child, ha ha. I don't think I'm very mature for my age and I was wondering about what my mother must have went through to raise me at a young age. I'm 6 years older than she was when she had me and I still have trouble cleaning my room.
