Eccentric Musings Of The Insatiable Kind

I think love is just some venerable disease
carried from some savage tribe to the Maccabees
    where it caught wind
and carried through the air like a seed
until it landed in New York
where it seeps from concrete buildings
    and contaminates the drinking waters.

I think it landed in your hair
    and in my kidney

(We're blinking, out of joint, out of context)

    Sit down
    have a drink
    Oh please ignore the ring

You think all your problems are contained inside a tidy little box
well they're not dear, they're spread out far across your time.

I like this piece, but I think your last stanza is a little weak, especially when you compare it to the first stanza. I like it. Nice job

That first stanza is lovely, but my favorite part is the second stanza. My question is, what would this poem feel like if it ended there? Just a thought.
Poets are always taking the weather so personally. They're always sticking their emotions in things that have no emotions.
