A new laureate, a new challenge.

Firstly welcome to our new laureate, Celeste Barwick, who is new both as laureate and as a member, her entry to the challenge was one of her first posts on the forum. I am sure everyone will join me in congratulating you on your win Celeste.

Secondly I would like to remind the rest of you that the world does not stop here, Celeste has chosen the subject of “Crime” for the new challenge and the thread is now open for entries in Poetry challenges. It was excellent to see not only some very good entries but also some interesting responses last month, we are looking forward to an even better response this time.

I don't like to sound ignorant or anything, but in WF, what does being a "laureate" mean?

Oh, and how do I join the challenge? - EDIT: Disregard this question. I already found it.

    Thanks in advance!

It simply means the 'winner' more or less.

    Oh... /facepalm

I thought it had some other meaning.

    Pardon my seemingly stupid post.
