    Let the Turtle . . .

Let the turtle fly with wings of water
Let him feel the peal of air currents
swift and crisp push power's pulse
    and blind the night

Let its eggs fall and crack in Teflon pans
to boil and fry into flowers of thought,
    enlightened pearls, smarter than Icarus
with wet wings, would sooner snuff out
the sun than be scorched and sizzled by it

Let the wings cry blue cold tears to found
    fertile thought
    Establish turtle-like hopefulness of eternal
    gummed smiles

Let the turtle fly with wings of water
To escape a fate like pigs to slaughter
"I want to work in revelations, not just spin silly tales for money. I want to fish as deep down as possible into my own subconscious in the belief that once that far down, everyone will understand because they are the same that far down"

I simply love the last two lines.

These were my favorite lines, Hoot, great imagery in these.
