    Body of water

    The tide comes in
    bringing the coldness
don't know where it comes from
    already numb

    Breathe
    my air
    out my mouth

    Ice on the surface now
how long until it's frozen through?
    gray until white horizon
I wait for it all to turn
    Whiteness expanding like slow disease,
sepsis in blood, poisoning systems one by one until
    collective failure

slipping through my fingertips and out
my peace, my prize emptying like a slow leak
    so full-
    abruptly empty, dry.

    The tide comes in
    Wave by wave
    closer to absolution
    I pray for this

Examining, and in some cases imagining, one's final moments is always intriguing. One adjustment I'd make, which is purely mechanical, would be to split up S3 into two different ones, into something like:

    Ice on the surface now
how long until it's frozen through?
    gray until white horizon
I wait for it all to turn

    Whiteness expanding like slow disease,
    sepsis in blood,
poisoning systems one by one until
    collective failure
Overall, I enjoyed it. Thanks for posting.
Make no life, but write this.

I liked the rhythm of it, (though the 'Breathe air out my mouth' part seemed a bit weird).
