Thread: We want Peace

It is our duty to struggle for the return of our land

It is our duty to cooperate and be one hand.

It is our duty to spread peace in our nation.

And stop the violence and avoid the separation.

It is our duty to fight our enemy.

And beat the arrogance and the hegemony.

We should prove that we are not a scapegoat.

And that we have a great cultural thought.

It is our duty to prove our existence.

Even if it is by defense and resistance.

It is our duty to return the civilians` rights.

Even if it requires entering in wars or fights.

We seek peace and security.

But defending our land is a priority.

Clearly a political poem. It would be interesting to know which country and cause you are refering to. This poem would be much more powerful if it was told from a personal perspective - with real examples of how a person has been oppressed or dispossessed. Try to get inside this persons feelings. At present it is very abstract.
