    My love, forever not
I lost my sight, now I rot
I love you more than my life holds meaning
    I am cruel
This is grey, begrudging, ultimately dubious in purpose
    You were my key
    Now you are gone
A dead, ash blanketed desolace, and me
You, clear, tranquil and forever, eternity
    My potential mate
    Now you are gone
    And I am alone
But a crime of passion, no
The flakes of frozen snow upon a warm earthen home, no
It just seems to be, and it is all I ever see
My folly, my flaw, mine alone
    Alone
For this is where I stand, among the fallen leaves
The dying leaves of my Autumn
You, Autumn, one whom I shared and gave
But you must go, and I made it possible
You do not belong with the damned
You are too special, a diamond in this sea
You will always be free, away from me
    I will die.

Very sad and heart-felt. Could feel the pain of loss and regret.

Really? because he lost his 'potential mate'? because she was a 'diamond in this sea'?

you can't use such a simple rhyme 'forever not/ now i rot' if you want this to be sad/ serious. the username and poem combination really get me though.
