I observed a glorious sunrise
with an orange and purple hue,
yet I'm struck how plain I felt then
when compared to seeing you.

I beheld a wondrous eagle,
watched as it so gracefully flew,
yet the soaring lovely creature
seemed a toad compared to you.

Then I noticed fragrant roses
offering lovely scents I knew,
yet they stunk when I remembered
How I feel when next to you.

Such is now my fair perspective -
all around me is less true,
for I long to be surrounded
and my senses filled with you.

This really does have some lovely sentiments to it. When you fall in love, nothing, no matter how glorious can compare to what is overwhelming your heart. Very nice.
