When you had gone for good
So I put on my coat
Hung up the suet.
Now my tree is complete.
Now when I sleep I just dream.

Suet is throwing me off. (Suit?)
I like the last line a lot, but the one before it seems like an inside thought the reader is not privy to.
I enjoyed this, if those two lines were somehow clarified I would enjoy it more.
Suet is a combination of beef lard and seeds you hang in a tree to feed the birds.
It's one of my favorite words. Pronounced Sue-It
