    Repentatonic Limerick (advice)

the fifth part of the sole wood land series.
it is about how often we enjoy being lied to, and when we do we want it to be musical in a sense
    ----
harmony is a home in my heart
    dissonance is never gone

    they gave concieved in me
    a musical wrath

    i concede
you were fooled by that song

    we played it for you
    honest i'm lying
    the scale was repentatonic

    accent on the fifth
    our duet will descend

    honest, i'm lying, honest

    for i dabble in jazz
    and never the blues
my days are as bright as they aren't

    and I once believed
and still do to this day
i'd write a song and would rhyme the word orange

    grasping for wind
    like the 21st fret

the stretch will be worth my demise
    what you've yet to see
    and will in a second
i lied, yet you're still surprised

    we played it for you
    honest i'm lying
    the scale was repentatonic

in the secret key of why
    relative to see

    only hearing
    is to believe

    when these gate close down
    and these walls fall up

    these crowds, won't keep me
    they won't let up

    if you'll listen i'l play
    callus decay
i'll even still play if you

harmony is a home in my heart
    dissonance is never gone

atonal is the way for me
    never devoid of a song
    ------------

    any advice..please.

repentatonic scales-the first attempt in European Music to achieve equal temprement unfortunately it meant that an A flat was not identical to a G sharp. Bach however came up with a far better system.

Now to the poem, liked the Jazz/Blues reference because it makes a point, that though a lover of both since a child, I'd missed. The poem is a very rewarding if demanding read.

Regarding the first para you did say "the fifth part of the sole wood land series.
it is about how often we enjoy being lied to, and when we do we want it to be musical in a sense-the para was a musical lie
