    Smile Hey Peter

    Hey Peter,
    You better listen to me now
    I'm a Devil from the Underworld

    Hey Peter,
    You better stick to all your vows
    Or I'll let you die in the cold

    Hey Peter,
    You better love her like you mean it
    Or I'll come and put you in your grave

    Hey Peter,
    You better put your whole heart in it
    Or I'll make it so your death you'll crave

    And everytime you kiss her
    Just know that I miss her
    I'd give anything to be in your place

    Hey Peter,
    If you wanna see tomorrow
    You better keep the smile on her face

    Hey Peter,
    I'll be watching from the dark
    You better make sure she is fine

    Hey Peter,
    Your life will surely end
    If my Sun ever fails to shine

    Hey Peter,
    Hey Peter,
    Hey Peter,

    Look after my Sun

    This is interesting. Trying to wrap my head around it.

    It isn't that hard to understand, is it? I actually meant it to be quite a simple and sincere little song.

    Hope this doesn't sound dumb...

    Narrator = Father?
    Peter = Narrator's daughter's spouse?

    I guess you could interpret it that way. Or think of him as a very close friend who is in love with her but knows that she'll be happy with Peter, so gives her up to him. But he'll be damned if he ever lets him hurt her.

    That's certainly visible, but the first reaction I got was words of a father. Still, very nice. I really liked it.
