More than there are stars in the sky,
More than there are fish in the sea,
I love you.
More than the flower needs the sun,
More then the night needs the moon,
I need you.
Every second that passes,
You are in my thoughts.
Every night that goes by,
I’ll die a little more.
Yet every time I see you,
I feel so alive-
Because every time I see you
Is the first time.
When my eyes meet you,
They know they’re your own.
As the ears might enjoy a wonderful melody,
As the eyes might enjoy a grand work of art,
So too does my heart beat when I think of you.
And forever will it beat, in time with your own.
Though I can feel the rhythm,
pounding in my mind-
pounding like the rain on the rooftops,
The rhythm eludes you...
The wonderful things which crowd my mind,
which go unshared,
A parcel on the porch.
A lost dog in the rain.
Once upon a time,
I could have held you,
I could have loved you,
though yet from afar I see you the same.
Your eyes,
shining marbles which consume my world,
your hair,
lustrous curls which could have been mine.
All of you which should have been mine,
And all of me which could have been yours
I wish that in time you could see,
But it seems like we will never be.
The longer I think of you,
The longer I dream of you,
The more I feel that I need you.
All of the feelings
We keep bottled inside,
All the emotions
That we keep confined,
Love that is a beast;
Awaiting to be free of it's cage.
Feelings conflicted,
That we can never share.
Happiness,
A spot on a black wall.
A light in a sea of shadows.
With such a taste as rare wine.
Sadness,
So common and pure.
Like a black tide which sucks at the feet.
Such a feeling as the night swallows the sun.
Fear,
A gnawing at the heart.
A tearing at the mind.
Like a buttoned lip on the whispers of my soul.
Such feelings which give us
Rare hope,
Rare joy,
A moment of pleasure which yet is fleeting.
A light on the corner of my eye.
I wish we could share the fire,
Bear the light between us both.
Like a night that has no end
Is the feeling I feel.
Confusion,
Uncertainty.
The things that I know aren't real.
Like us-
We are what is not real.
Like the dead I wander,
I speak.
With my words,
With my thoughts
I call to you.
A hope.
A chance-
A fleeting moment of brightness,
like a dawn which rises from a sea of nothing.
All that I ask is for a lie-
A lie that I beg to be true.
A lie that you love me.
Like the lie that I love you.
Some things were never meant to be loved-
Meant to be touched,
But not felt.
Heard;
Yet not understood.
Like a fog over a beautiful morning,
A marvelous cloud which covers the sky.
You are so lovely,*
so pure.
Like a Goddess,
glamorous, and wrathful.
Though misery is not your tool,
you wield it as such.
With it you craft such fine cages of love and hate,
Such works which are admired by only the lonely.*
However, the sun shines still through the clouds.*
Through the fog are distant outlines of the shore.
So too do I still love you,
as forever I shall.*
Forever shall my heart beat,
shall it pound in time with yours.
Though for now the rhythm goes unfelt,
The music unheard;
I will wait until the sunshine turns to ash
for the magic to take hold of you.
A morning wind,
a brush with the stars.
Feelings as these which my mind conjures
when I see you.*
Your perfect smile,
your perfect face;
for which perfect is not apt a description.*
There is no term*
in this language,
or any-
which could describe your beauty.*
Such words are beyond the extent of mortal men,
reserved only for the gods.
For godliness indeed is your beauty,
so bright and so clean.
I wish that I were more,
more that I may be fit to pray upon your likeness.
You are as the flower,
the flower which holds such simple splendor,
such rare elegance.
One which is not apart,
and yet is held separate.*
I wish these feelings were shared,
that we could revel in such flightless fancies as love.
I wish that you were the sun,
that all the world may see you as I.
That all the world may look upon you with wonder,
and hope.
Were you the sun, you may light all the world
as you light my soul.
As you light my life.*
Alas, I fear that I shall hold the sun from the shadows,
see the light from the dark-
for our lives hold no room for fairytales,
your heart holds no room for mine.*
You deserve a god which matches your splendor,*
a moon which reflects your brightness;
And but a man am I.
A man who may only watch as the stars dance,
A man who may only watch as the sun watches the Earth.
However, as the world turns-
so too shall I forever care for you.
I shall always hear the rhythm in the echoes of night,
I shall forever remember the footsteps on my heart.
And my love for you
will forever find a place inside my soul.
