    When Feelings Come

    Descent:

    My Lord,

I feel the blood coming down,
    falling toward parts unknown.
For when the feelings come, all
I can do is fall and slip away.

    cold
    __ stale
    ____ hopeless
    _____ descent

cradle to the earth in chilling embrace,
the mist in my eyes fogs away reality.
For when the feelings come, all
I can do is fall and slip away.

    _______ descent
    ________ despair
    _________ and
    __________ crying
    ____________ death

ad infinitum is how long I fall,
all alone and cold forever now.
for when the feelings come, all
I can do is fall and slip away.

    _ down
    __ and
    ____ down
    _____ to
    ______ parts
    _______ unknown

    Ascent:

Until you grab me from my chilled
despair will be when I return.
    and when That Day comes
is when the feelings will come
and instead lift me up high.

    _______________ hope
    ______________ light
    ____________ and
    ___________ warming
    _________ strength

The Day has come, you have
    grabbed my frozen entomb hands
and now when the feelings come
I feel the manna of heaven feel me.

    _____ love
    ____ beauty
    ___ calm
    __ and
    _ restful
    peace

ad infinitum is how long I'll stand.
As long as You, my Lord, stand with
me when the feelings come once again.

Some of the lines were cliche, especially the reference to fog.

    cold
    __ stale
    ____ hopeless
    _____ descent
I am not a fan of religious sentiment in poems. I think you found a challenging theme to tackle. It seems hard to write objectionablly about it which is what I suggest you do. Otherswise seems a little hard to immerse into the piece and appreciate it.
