    This poem really grew on me. The synesthesia (if that's the right word) worked great. I'm sure it must be an acquired taste (so to speak) but I consider it the natural resting state of the mind.

    I think you're pretty brave to write about something as potentially meaningful as a thunderstorm. I usually try to limit myself to whimsy out of fear of being pretentious.

    My favorite line is this one:
    even the essence of silence glitters
    like the harmonious plucks
    of the golden harps played by the angels
    I'm obsessed with the concept of silence and non-being. I found I worked consciously with these concepts and only later realized the Chinese Taoists had understood this process for thousands of years.
