What could have been about this "Yesterday" which was life changing? You have me on the edge of my seat. I might suggest incorporating nuggets of what this day was about for both of you to get the reader to really feel what you or your protagonist was feeling. S7 - all you need is "happier" and drop the "more" or write "more happy"
S9- misspell of "laughing". That's it. A beautiful piece and I agree with Fox: He's a damn lucky fellow! Laurie
